We source much of our food from the estate. Fresh fish, crabs and lobster are all landed on the quay at Clovelly daily, in season. We’re also part of the sustainable fishing partnership, to ensure our waters have lobster for generations to come. The Red Lion also has a number of vegetarian and vegan options to choose from.

Things To Do
The Red Lion Bars were beautifully refurbished in 2019 without losing their original character. The bars still have solid stone floors, beams, wood burner with walls festooned with pictures of village characters long ago. They seem to look out across the bar to welcome you. However make sure you don’t pinch their seat!
Service times: 12:00pm – 2:30pm | 6pm – 8pm
It is the smaller of the two bars as its name suggests. Mingle with villagers, listen to their stories, try a drop of Clovelly cobbler, or local cider. You can order from our modern evening bar menu.
We serve fresh seafood along with a selection of excellent ales & ciders. There are tables both inside and outside, so you can soak up the ambience of this wonderful place.
